Small Treasure Tuesdays

Welcome to Small Treasure Tuesdays Everyone!

I hope you're having a great week so far.

Remember, your post doesn't have to be long, it can be as simple as linking up a picture or a quote. I don't want anyone feeling overwhelmed by this :-)

Here are the guidelines:
1) Make sure you link directly to the page your Small Treasure Tuesdays post is on, not your main blog page.
If you don't have a blog, you can still participate and leave your treasure in a comment.

2) Please link back here so other people can join in on the fun! A good way to do that is by grabbing my button :-)

3) Visit as many people as you want/can. All I ask is that you please visit the person above you in the list, and leave a comment. Everyone loves to know what you think of their treasures!

Today, my treasure is that I got new business cards for my jewelry!
I love them.

My awesome and talented brother in law Dave designed them for me.
What do you think?

If you're looking for new and personal business cards, websites or anything I would definitely recommend him :-)

What's your treasure this week?
I'd love to hear about it, just leave the link in a comment and I'll add it to this post :-)

P.S. I've been having issues with being able to upload my jewelry pictures, so if you check out my etsy, I apologize that it isn't updated yet... But I'm motivated to get it working this week!

New Jewelry Designs are a Treasure

I haven't been able to capture good light with my jewelry so these pictures aren't very good.

My father paid me to make this set of earrings, bracelet and necklace for my step-mother on Valentines Day. I'll be making a similar set to sell on my etsy shop, so I thought I'd show you guys.

I'm very proud of it :-)

My treasure is finding time to make jewelry!

Over the holidays, as you know, I've let some things slip through the cracks like blogging and making jewelry. But I have a new planner where I've been writing everything I have to do each day, and it has been working wonders with scheduling and making time for everything I have to do.

I haven't yet been able to take pictures of all of my most recent pictures due to bad lighting :-P
But here are some!

I'll share more pictures later.
I'm looking forward to reading about your treasures!

The linky will be open until Saturday

You guys are Treasures

When I signed onto my blog this morning, guess what I saw...

Now it's 52 :-D

I can't believe I have so many people reading this!
So... to show my appreciation for you guys, once I get to 100 followers, I'm going to giveaway some jewelry I've made! So, be sure to stick around.

In other news, I sent out the wedding jewelry yesterday! So, once I'm sure I won't need to make any changes, I'll be opening my Etsy shop!

Some exciting things will be coming your way, in the form of my hosting a few giveaways :-) More info on that later.

I've been making a lot of jewelry lately, but have neglected to take pictures, so I'll do that soon.
In the meantime, here are some earrings I haven't shown you guys yet.

Fridays Are A Treasure

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm linking to a few Friday Follow parties to make new friends, so if you're new here just let me know, I always follow back :-) if you would like to join the parties, their button is over on the right "New Friend Friday" and "Follow me Fridays"
This blog is a place for me to stash my thoughts and the treasures I find, as well as the treasures I make.

I'm not really sure of my plans for the weekend yet. Michael and I might go and see Robin Hood this weekend. Has anyone seen it?

Also I want to finish the book I'm reading, and make some more jewelry.
Speaking of jewelry :-) Here are a few pics of some of my newest designs. Enjoy!

Let me know what you think :-)

So, what about you guys, any fun plans for the weekend?

Wedding Jewlery

As promised, here are some pictures of the jewelry I'm making for my friend's wedding

These are the Bride's earrings

The Bride's necklace

A closer shot of the Brides necklace

This is the young flower girl's necklace (I don't want her to choke, so it doesn't dangle)

This necklace is for the older flower girl

This is the Bridesmaid's necklace

I don't know if you can tell in the pics, but some of the jewels are pink for the flower girls, and bridesmaids.

I still need to make one more of the older flower girl (the number of flower girls went up:) and I need to make four more Bridesmaids necklaces, including one that is a little different for the Maid of Honor.
I'm really having fun designing and making these!

Once I finish all the wedding jewelry I'm going to be opening an Etsy shop!
Once I figure everything out, I'll let you all know. I'm super excited!

Let me know what you think of the jewelry :-)

Exciting News is a Treasure

You guys have been so supportive of my jewelry making endeavors that I had to let you know about something awesome:

Last night I got my first customer!

A friend of mine from Michigan is getting married and has asked me to make her jewelry, as well as the jewelry for her 5 bridesmaids and 2 flower-girls! I am very excited.
She sent me a few pictures so I could get an idea of what she'd like, and now I'm going to go for it
I'll post pictures of the jewelry once it is finished :-)

You guys I am very excited!

If anyone wants to purchase any of my pieces let me know, I plan on opening a shop or something once I get a little more refined. Also, I can custom make things as well

Here are a few more earrings I've made:

Well, that's my news :-) Is anything fun and exciting going on with you?
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Developing Talents is a Treasure

As I mentioned before I have started to make jewelry
The picture quality isn't the greatest, but I do what I can :) here are my latest pieces:

I tried lots of ways to tie the ribbon... but I didn't like any of them as much as...

This. I am really proud of all my jewelry, especially this necklace.

I am really pleased with how much I've learned! And, my earrings are all even now ;-D
Whenever I see a piece of jewelry I like I've been challenging myself to figure out how I would make it. By doing that I've learned a lot, and added quite a few things to my list of things I want to make :-)

So, what do you think of my designs? Do you have any suggestions for me, or challenging designs I could try and figure out?

Trying New Things is a Treasure

I love jewelry. I've gone through stages in the past when I wear a bunch of jewelry for a long time, then I'll switch to wearing none, after I realize that wearing all your jewelry at once is not actually that attractive.

I've finally found a happy medium!

Lately when I see jewelry in the stores I've been thinking to myself "Why should I spend $30 on this necklace when I can just make it?" Wait... I've never made jewelry before. Why am I thinking this?

Then I started to look into it, and yeah, I could make that pretty necklace, or those classy earrings, and if I practice at it, it wouldn't be that hard! So, I've been wanting to give it a shot, just so I can see if that part of me that wants to be crafty is right, or just going to new extremes to try and motivate me.

Well, I made a friend through blogging, and she sent me some supplies so I could practice making loops and using the hooks and things. Yeah, she's awesome!

I made these earrings with some of the extra beads she sent, I know, they aren't perfect. They aren't even even! However, this is the first jewelry item I've finished, and I'm proud of them!

So, I went to Joy Made Jewelry and I looked around her blog, she's great because she has tutorials about how to make jewelry. So I used this tutorial, and Michael got me this kit from her etsy shop

and I made this necklace!

I made my own bead pattern, and I made my own loops with the tools Michael got me.

Yeah... I am pretty proud of myself :-)
